Tangerine Queen and a piece of advice

Hey guys,

hope you are all well :)
Over here it has reached 39°C on sunday... 39!! I was in Hamburg that day and was literally melting away...
I went there because my bestest moved there and invited us to her housewarming/ birthday party.
So, as I knew it would be make-up melting time I put on some Vichy Lumière tinted moisturiser and mineral powder by Art Deco. The thing was... the tinted moisturiser was not EXACTLY my skin colour... in fact I am fair and IT was orange...!
It said that you should use a teeny tiny amount of it to add some tan to your face and it doesn't matter that you are fair, you look glowy and ravishing...WELL!
A few times it actually worked, I looked tanned and not like a member of Jersey Shore.
But on that sunday... oh dear! I arrived after a 2 hour journey on the top floor of her appartment bloc, completely hot and - ok let's say it- sweaty as hell. So when I came in she said: Oh my, your face is red!
When I looked in the mirror I realised it was not the heat... it was the moisturiser.
So I PRETENDED I didn't realise I was the queen of the tangerine's and sat down casually in the living for half an hour, as you do, before CASUALLY I went to my bag, grabbed my baby wipes (saviour mine) and my powder (actually my REAL colour) and rushed to the bath...

What did I do afterwards? Yes chuck away that bloody stuff into the never-come-back bin.
So don't believe what they say in adverts, on the internet etc. PLEASE always use your own skin tone. If you on the other hand prefer that look... well, orange away!
What I should add, there is a new BB-cream on the market, the one by Mabelline... same problem! Rosey skin tone? No taste for orange extravaganza? Please do not buy!

Anyone of you had a similar experience?

That was it for now,
hope you have a lovely day! ;)
