Crazy about Babyproducts

Hi Guys!
I am very sorry that I was away for so long... seems like AGES to me... ok maybe not. Had loads of Uniwork to do, always a good (good???) explanation...
Ok, so let's talk Babyproducts. I have just recently become a godmum (yippiiiie! :) ) and since I knew my best friend was pregnant I started carrying baby wipes with me... you'd think now 'errrrm that's odd the mum wouldn't need them till the baby is born...' very true very true, BUT I thought better be prepared. Ok call me weird.
I never tried baby wipes before. I heard many beauty bloggers and vloggers rambling about them, using them as make-up remover wipes or else (else I don't know what else!) From first trying them I was obsessed with them! Honestly they are SO good and versatile, ok let's I have used them for... removing make-up, wiping hands, cleaning desks, cleaning my PC at work (oh yeah!), cleaning our bathroom (now you know Jess ;D) and of course when baby was born, for the baby... quite a lot isn't it? Well I wouldn't say I'd always clean my house with them as they leave streams if you don't use proper cleaning stuff, but always good for a quick clean.

So just recently I went to Poundland (yes that lovely shop with the hideous lighting and that frrrriendly staff!) for toilet paper (too much info I know, sorry) and for some time now I wanted to get one of these shower puffs or poofs... well one of those. But there I saw baby sponges 3 for 1 pound! So my mind (always happy to get a bargain ;) ) thought 'hmmm...', also I saw a bottle of baby lotion (not kidding) I sniffed it and thought uuuhhh that's lovely. I smelled somehow... cosy. Sounds strange I know.
But well on that day it was raining, I mean sincerely RAINING, POURING, GET YOUR SANDSACKS PEOPLE! Something like that. So on those days I am in the mood for warmth and cosiness and that baby lotion just smelled divine to me.
So when I came home all wet and cold, I treated myself with a hot shower (haahhh) using my new sponges (just a drop of shower gel, press a few times and foam heaven is on!) and indulged in my new baby lotion afterwards...
I loved it, it was just what I needed after a cold and rainy day. I admit that on light and sunny days the lotion might smell a bit too cosy for use, but it also has benefits for sensitive skin - like mine - so especially for only one pound that was a very good buy!

Here to get a look...

First REAL post... a haul!

So I will start with... a mini-haul :)
On saturday I went to Leeds with my friends and bought a few things... Leeds is bigger than my current town that means a bigger Boots, a PRIMARK.... heaven :)
(But did you ever try to get a seat in the PrĂȘt-a-manger in Leeds city centre on a saturday?? Just don't. Just... don't)
Boots there sells brands such as Ted Baker, Burt's Bees...
I was quite intrigued to go for the Ted Baker Butterly Wings Body Scrub... BUT then something even nicer caught my eye... or rather nose. Okay it is NOT a body scrub... it is the Burt's Bees Banana Hand Cream. It smells GORGEOUS! Of "real" bananas not the artificial stuff you get in most creams... NO this is different!

I got hooked and bought it for 9,99 GBP... BUT as I am such a caring child (erm...) I sent it to my mum for her birthday next thursday. She does a lot of gardening and needs a good hand cream.
And what can I say? Today I was clicking my way through Amazon UK and put Burt's Bees in and guess what?! They have the banana hand cream on offer for only 6,90 GBP (Link)!!! So I ordered a backup, for my mum or... meee ;)
(If you think that price is rather expensive I have to say that for a cream, or else of good quality I am ready to pay a bit more and think in that case you get good value for money. See I don't know if you guys over here think it is too expensive as I am used to German thinking and in Germany people are used to get many things for little money so already complain if they get a good body lotion for 3 €...)

On saturday we carried on strolling through the aisles when I saw the Boots Natural Collection... they stock the fanciest (is that a word?) Body Cream ever! It is a mixture between a gel and a cream and comes in - I think - 5 different scents... the one I went for was Mango & Papaya for 3,50 GBP (see picture).
It looks like yoghurt mixed with orange jelly... and smells delicious! Of indeed a mixture between Mango and something else, but very very fruity. I like fruity scents, light and not heavy.

The last thing I got in Boots was 17 Wild Metallics Eyes in Wild Green (3,99 GBP). It is new in their range and even though we have a Boots in my town, they don't stock it.
The colour is more of a yellow-based green (military green I would say) and very sparkly. You can use it as a base or on its own. As my eyelids can get rather oily I need a good base for my eyeshadow. Unfortunately I am not quite sure if it is right for me, it creased immediately so I don't think I can use it on its own...
But I will give it a good try and see how I can make a good use of it :).

Here they are...

P.S. I am sorry for the rubbish quality of the picture, my camera / my photographer-abilities are not the best...

For starters

Hi Guys,
just for a short introduction... I am Nat.
I am half German / half English and I am ADDICTED (you can write that in capitals, yes) to everything concerning beauty and fashion. I've had this blog now for... let's say quite some time, but never did anything reasonable about it except for two posts in German.
Originally I intended to blog about my highly sensitive skin (also partly facial erythrosis- not nice I can tell you) and how I' ve learned to deal with it. But I didn't get that far really so I might include that in here now :).

How I came back in the mood for blogging is easy to tell you... right now I am in the UK in my study abroad semester (loooooving it). Here I met my friend Leah, who vlogs on youtube (please check her out she is lovely! leah). She was so interested in German products, that when I went to Germany over Easter, brought a few goodies back for her. ;)
I have also seen videos on youtube by Lisa Elridge and Fleur de Force, where they talk about French pharmacies and the products available there. German pharmacies are very similar to those (lucky us). So my friend asked me to start a vlog in English about German products and how they are compared to English ones, because that might interest you guys over here...
Well, I am not a fan of being in front of the camera (NOOOOOOO) so I remembered my little blog :) and thought hmmmm I might give it another go.
I not only want my blog to be about beauty products, as I am a happy shopper, so hauls will also be part of it... ;)

If you have any requests concerning German products or what I use over here in the UK for my skin, please ask.

So waffled on enough, let's give it a go! ;)
